The Samsung batteries from the i3 didn’t fit the spaces available in the MINI, so they are not shared. The MINI Cooper SE uses more advanced CATL batteries that MINI says suffer less cold-weather range-reduction (although that may be because the SE’s battery is not as exposed to cold weather as the i3’s battery. The MINI Cooper SE can accept up to 11 kW using a 3-phase AC EVSE and 7.4 kW using a single-phase AC EVSE (which is the best I can do at my home in the US).
