Transitioning to the 2022 model year, the Porsche Taycan has not only gained wireless Android Auto, new colors, and the GTS trim level, but also a new Sport Turismo serving as the third body style. Truth be told, it’s essentially the Cross Turismo<\/a> without the SUV traits like the body cladding on the wheel arches or the raised suspension.<\/p>\n

It sits as low to the ground as the Taycan GTS Sedan with which it also shares the Panoramic Roof with Variable Light Control previously not available for the performance EV. It gives the owner the possibility to adjust the opacity of the large roof by selecting one of the four presets thanks to the built-in nine liquid crystal film segments. You can go from clear to matte, followed by Semi (at 40% opacity) and Bold (at 60%).<\/p>\n

2022 Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mirroring the sedan, the wagon gets front fascia and side skirts available with the SportDesign package, along with 20-inch Turbo S wheels that come with a satin black look debuting with the GTS. There are numerous other black accents, noticeable on the headlights, rear badge, rear “Porsche” lettering, on the bottom section of the side mirrors, and also for the side window trim.<\/p>\n

Upgrades over the 4S include the Turbo-sourced suspension specifically calibrated for the GTS, while the 390-mm brake rotors at the front axle are an improvement over the 360-mm setup you get with the 4S. Speaking of the brakes, these come with red calipers and can be optionally swapped out for a carbon-ceramic system.<\/p>\n

2022 Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The dual motors provide a total of 590 hp, enabling the GTS to neatly slot between the 462-hp 4S and the 670-hp Turbo. The 0-60 mph task takes a mere 3.5 seconds and customers get the same 93.4-kWh battery installed in the Turbo \/ Turbo S. If you can charge it at a rate of 270 kW, around 22 minutes will be necessary to increase the battery’s state of charge from 5% of 80%.<\/p>\n

At $133,300, the GTS Sport Turismo commands a $1,900 premium over the equivalent sedan. Porsche is already taking orders for both and will begin to ship cars to customers in the second quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n
