Thomas Sch\u00e4fer reiterated three EVs will be launched before the end of the decade and all will be smaller and cheaper than the Enyaq. When asked by British journalists about when will the marque from Mlad\u00e1 Boleslav introduce its equivalent of the <a href=\"https:\/\/evglobe.com\/2021\/09\/20\/vw-id1-gtx-details-rumor\/\">VW ID Life<\/a> and Cupra Urban Rebel concepts, the firm\u2019s top brass responded:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re coming shortly with an announcement on this one, but rest assured it will be differentiated from our sister brands and a beautiful concept that really fits Skoda.\u201d He went on to say VW, SEAT, and Cupra are \u201cpushing ahead a little stronger on this side,\u201d which tells us the three brands are leading the project in terms of development.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10491\" src=\"https:\/\/evglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Volkswagen-ID.LIFE-5-of-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1625\" height=\"1080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Volkswagen-ID.LIFE-5-of-8.jpg 1625w, https:\/\/evglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Volkswagen-ID.LIFE-5-of-8-1536x1021.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1625px) 100vw, 1625px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As to when Skoda will introduce the concept, it could happen before the end of this year considering the ID Life and <a href=\"https:\/\/evglobe.com\/2021\/09\/07\/2021-iaa-the-cupra-urbanrebel-is-the-electric-hot-hatch-of-the-future\/\">Urban Rebel<\/a> have been out for quite a while. The production will fill in the void left after the demise of the Citigo-e iV and will serve as the company\u2019s entry-level EV. It will ride on the front-wheel-drive-based MEB Entry architecture rather than the RWD-based MEB architecture used for the ID.3 through ID.6 models, plus the upcoming ID Buzz minivan.<\/p>\n<p>The first products to ride on the new platform are earmarked to arrive in 2025 and chances are VW, SEAT\/Cupra, and Skoda will all launch their EVs at roughly the same time. As for the other two vehicles with zero emissions the company is working on, one of them could be a compact sedan based on the ID.3, possibly joined by a wagon since the body style remains popular among Skoda buyers despite the SUV boom. That said, we wouldn\u2019t exclude a smaller crossover to slot below the <a href=\"https:\/\/evglobe.com\/2020\/09\/03\/skoda-enyaq-iv-with-bmws-iconic-kidney-grille\/\">Enyaq<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10523\" src=\"https:\/\/evglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Cupra-UrbanRebel-Concept-4-of-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1440\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thomas Sch\u00e4fer told <em>Autocar<\/em> the next decade could come along with bigger EVs, such as a seven-seat SUV in the same vein as the VW ID.6 sold in China with three rows of seats.
