Genesis unveiled the Electrified GV70 in mid-November 2021 but it left out some important technical specifications. The electric luxury crossover is now available to preorder at home in South Korea, and on this occasion, more details have been disclosed. Unlike the GV60 and its dedicated E-GMP electric car platform, the zero-emissions GV70 is based on the conventional model equipped with combustion engines.

We now get to find out the EV is equipped with a lithium-ion polymer battery pack featuring a capacity of 77.4 kWh with enough juice for 400 kilometers (249 miles). It’s worth noting South Korea also uses the WLTP test cycle applicable in European Union countries. Even though it’s not a bespoke electric car, it still supports fast charging at up to 350 kW, in which case the battery can be juiced up from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes.
