Car manufacturers are trying to find new, unexplored ways to promote their cars nowadays and electric vehicles are the perfect subjects to test new digital strategies. In this case, Audi decided to promote the all-new Audi e-tron Sportback thanks to “Virtual Market 4”, one of the world’s most famous virtual reality events.

This Virtual Reality event is organized every year by the Japanese company Hikky. Last year, this event gathered the attention of more than 710,000 visitors globally. In occasion of the fourth edition of this event, the organizers expect to host more than one million of virtual guests.

The guests will be able to move in a “para-real” 3D version of Tokyo and they will be able to interact with the environment and with other people. Audi thinks that this virtual event is perfect to prepare the market launch of the Audi e-tron Sportback in China and in Japan.

The Audi e-tron is going to be parked in different location around the virtual replica of Tokyo. People can interact directly with the vehicle and if they do, they will be guided to a special Audi stand that will recreate the “Audi Meteorite”, an experience facility installed at Munich Airport from beginning 2019.
