Mercedes has already kicked off the teaser campaign for the EQE, a smaller electric sedan that will be positioned below the flagship EQS. Ahead of its official debut next month at the IAA Munich show, the Tesla Model S rival from the three-pointed star has now been spotted undergoing final testing on the busy streets of Germany.

It stubbornly has a full camo attire as the luxury brand doesn’t want to reveal the EQE’s design secrets just yet. Admittedly, we already have a pretty good understanding of how the car is going to look as it’s easy to imagine it will be a shrunken-down EQS, but with a couple of fairly significant changes. We can already tell it’s less swoopy and boxier than its bigger brother, and it seems to have a trunk lid instead of a more practical liftgate.
