Everrati unveils fully electric Porsche 911 with 500 horsepower

What may look like a fairly regular 964-generation Porsche 911 is actually an entirely different sports car underneath the familiar skin. Everrati, a company specialized in restoring important classics and futureproofing them as EVs, is unveiling its latest project based on the performance machine from Zuffenhausen. Stripped down to its monocoque chassis, the car underwent extensive upgrades as the entire body came off, along with the interior and powertrain.

It’s still very much a rear-wheel-drive sports car, but with an electric motor instead of a flat-six gasoline engine. It produces 500 horsepower, which is more than double the output of its donor car. The Everrati 911 delivers its 500 Newton-meters (369 pound-feet) of torque instantly, enabling a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in less than four seconds.

The electric sports car gets its necessary juice from a 53-kWh battery pack offering more than 150 miles (241 kilometers) of range, which doesn’t sound exceptional, but it all depends on how the car is driven. On the flip side, it takes less than an hour to fully replenish the battery from 10% by using a DC fast charger, and Everrati says it will cost you only £8.21 ($11.61 or €9.57 at current exchange rates).

The Oxfordshire-based engineering firm has developed a widebody kit for the silent 911, complete with carbon fiber front and rear wings replacing the much heavier original steel body panels. The roof can also be had in the lightweight material, while the bumpers come retrofitted with OEM wide body items and RS Cup-specific air vents.

It rides on 17- or 18-inch wheels available with various color finishes and backed by Brembo brakes with drilled, ventilated discs at both axles. At an additional cost, Everrati can fit the electric 911 with larger brakes consisting of upgraded Brembo calipers front and rear. Regenerative braking kicks in automatically once the driver lifts off the accelerator pedal to effectively enable one-pedal driving.

The 911 EV also benefits from a modernized interior with four-way electrically adjustable original Porsche seats made to look like the OEM RS Touring Seats. For a sportier vibe, Everrati can install carbon RS seats, while leather and Alcantara are some of the upholstery options available. Porsche-inspired EV gauges come as standard, along with a touchscreen Porsche Classic Communications Management infotainment with DAB+ and Apple CarPlay support.

All these goodies come at a cost as the electric Porsche 911 restomod from Everrati stars at £250,000 ($354,000 or €291,400) before taxes, plus the donor car. The company is already accepting orders and will commence deliveries to customers from late 2021.
