Up to $12,000 in Discounts For Audi e-tron

At the moment, the biggest downside of the Audi e-tron is its price. Starting at $65,900, the e-tron is a pricey electric SUV, especially one that lacks the sort of range that its competitors have for the same price. However, Audi dealers are attempting to sweeten the deal, to attract more customers, by offering heavy discounts.

At the moment, Cars Direct is reporting a series of discounts you can get on the Audi e-tron, which can all total up to $12,000. Admittedly, you have to get the most expensive e-tron to be eligible for the full twelve grand.

For starters, all e-tron models are eligible for $7,500 in tax credits, just like every other EV in the U.S. market. If you opt for the Premium Plus trim level, you get an additional $2,000 in-lease bonus, upping the total discount to $9,500. That $2,000 bonus becomes a $3,000 bonus if you instead opt for the top-end Prestige trim level, which changes the total discount to $10,500.

Additionally, Audi is running its annual “Season of Audi” sales event, in which you can get another $1,500 off the e-tron, if you buy or lease before January 4. Add all of that together and you can get $12,000 off the purchase of your Audi e-tron if you buy within the next couple of months.

It’s worth noting that this is only available on the standard Audi e-tron. If you want the e-tron Sportback, the total discount you can get is $9,000, from just the $7,500 federal tax credit and $1,500 Season of Audi bonus.

While you can always get the $7,500 off any e-tron at any time, an extra $4,500 bonus is extremely appealing for any potential buyers. So if you were thinking about the e-tron but on the fence, this discount might be exactly the right thing to help make up your mind.

Admittedly, because the top-end Prestige model is the one that gets the full $12,000, you have to spend the most money to get it. The Prestige-trim e-tron starts at $79,400. So after the discount, that comes to $67,100, which is more than the base model e-tron but is fully loaded. However, if you can live without some creature comforts and opt for the Premium Plus model, and its $10,500 discount, the total price comes to $64,300, which is cheaper than the base model car and comes with more kit.

For that money, you’re getting an all-electric Audi SUV with 402 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque, all the luxury you could ever want and, 222 miles of electric range. For under $65,000, that sounds like a solid electric SUV deal.
